Yivara Yoga Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Please read these terms before booking. By booking a class with Yivara Yoga you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to them.

---

1. Booking and payment

1.1 All classes must be booked and paid for in advance through the Yivara Yoga website. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are not confirmed until payment has been received (except where a class is offered free of charge).

1.2 Class sizes are capped to ensure everyone has adequate space to practise safely. Once a class is full, no further bookings can be accepted.

1.3 Prices are as displayed on the website at the time of booking and are inclusive of all applicable taxes.

1.4 Bookings are personal to you and may not be transferred or sold to another person without prior agreement.

---

2. Cancellation and refunds

If you cancel

2.1 Single class bookings: You may cancel a booking up to 24 hours before the class start time and receive a full refund or a credit towards a future class, whichever you prefer.

2.2 Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class start time are non-refundable, as the place can rarely be filled at short notice. Where possible I will try to offer the place to someone on a waiting list, and if it is filled I will issue a credit — but this cannot be guaranteed.

2.3 Non-attendance: If you do not attend a booked class and have not cancelled in advance, the class is forfeited and no refund or credit is due.

2.4 To cancel, please use the cancellation link in your booking confirmation email, or email hello@yivarayoga.ie.

Class packs

2.5 Class packs are valid for six months from the date of purchase. Unused classes expire at the end of that period and are not refundable or extendable, except at my discretion in exceptional circumstances such as prolonged illness or injury.

2.6 Individual classes booked using a class pack are subject to the same 24-hour cancellation terms set out above. A class cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice is returned to your pack; a class cancelled with less notice, or not attended, is deducted.

2.7 Class packs are non-transferable and hold no cash value.

If I cancel

2.8 In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a class — for example due to illness, adverse weather, or a problem with the venue — you will be offered a full refund or a credit towards a future class, whichever you prefer. I will give as much notice as circumstances allow.

2.9 Classes require a minimum number of participants to go ahead. If a class does not reach the minimum, I reserve the right to cancel it, in which case clause 2.8 applies.

Your statutory rights

2.10 Because a yoga class is a leisure service provided on a specific date, the 14-day cooling-off period that normally applies to online purchases does not apply to a booking for a dated class. Your other statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

3. Your health — important

3.1 It is your responsibility to tell me about anything affecting your health before you take part in a class. This includes, but is not limited to:

- heart conditions, chest pain, or high or low blood pressure

- pregnancy, or having given birth within the last six months

- any recent surgery or hospital procedure

- back, neck, spinal or joint injuries or conditions

- osteoporosis, osteopenia or arthritis

- asthma or other respiratory conditions

- epilepsy or seizures

- diabetes

- glaucoma, detached retina or recent eye surgery

- vertigo, balance difficulties or inner ear conditions

- any medication that may affect your practice

- any other injury, illness or condition that may affect your ability to take part safely

3.2 Please tell me before the class begins — either by email to hello@yivarayoga.ie, or by arriving a few minutes early and speaking to me quietly. Anything you tell me is treated in confidence and is used only to help you practise safely.

3.3 Please tell me about any change. If your health changes, or you pick up a new injury, please let me know before your next class, even if you have already told me about your health previously.

3.4 If you are pregnant, please make sure your GP, midwife or obstetrician is happy for you to attend a general yoga class. Depending on your stage of pregnancy I may recommend a dedicated pregnancy yoga class instead.

3.5 If you have any doubt about whether yoga is suitable for you, please speak to your doctor or another suitably qualified healthcare professional before booking.

3.6 Yoga is not a substitute for medical treatment. As a qualified yoga teacher, I am not a trained medical practitioner, and I do not diagnose, treat or prescribe.

4. Participation and personal responsibility

4.1 Yoga involves physical movement, stretching, strengthening, balancing and breathing techniques. As with any physical activity, there is an inherent risk of injury. By booking a class you acknowledge and accept this.

4.2 You are responsible for practising within your own limits. Please never work into pain, rest whenever you need to, and skip anything that does not feel right for your body. You are always free to stop, rest or leave a class at any point, without explanation.

4.3 Variations and options are offered throughout every class. Please take whichever option suits you on the day, in preference to any general instruction given.

4.4 Please tell me during or after class if you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness or any difficulty.

4.5 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

---

5. Hands-on assistance

5.1 I may occasionally offer light physical contact to help you find a position or to offer support. This is always optional. If you would prefer verbal guidance only, simply let me know — at any time, in any class, with no explanation needed.

---

6. Class etiquette

6.1 Please arrive five to ten minutes before the class start time. For the safety of everyone, I may not be able to admit latecomers once the class has begun, as arriving mid-practice is disruptive and you will have missed the warm-up.

6.2 Please let me know before the class starts if you need to leave early.

6.3 Please switch mobile phones to silent.

6.4 Please bring your own mat. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in.

---

7. Personal property

7.1 Yivara Yoga does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to a class or venue. Please do not bring valuables.

---

8. Photography

8.1 I may occasionally wish to take photographs or short video during a class for use on the Yivara Yoga website or social media. I will always ask beforehand, and you are entirely free to decline. Declining will never affect your participation in any way.

---

9. Your personal information

9.1 Yivara Yoga is the data controller for the personal information you provide when booking. Any questions can be sent to hello@yivarayoga.ie.

9.2 Your contact details are used to administer your booking and to contact you about classes you have booked. Any health information you share with me is used only to help me teach you safely, and is processed on the basis of your explicit consent.

9.3 Your information is stored securely and is never shared with any third party without your consent, except where required by law or where disclosure to emergency medical services is necessary to protect your vital interests.

9.4 You have the right to access the information held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission.

9.5 Booking records are retained for a minimum of six years and are then securely deleted.

---

10. General

10.1 I may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this website at the time of your booking.

10.2 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.

10.3 These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

11. Questions
